Make a Dried Leaf Candle
by Belinda Mooney

Capture the beauty of fall permanently in a candle. These leaf candles make a great project for the kids that will give you a head start on your Christmas list.

Materials

Dried leaves
Paint brush
Parafin (small amount)
Candle 3" or 4"
Coffee can
Brown paper
Towel
Iron

Place dried leaves between 2 pieces brown bag and press, using a dry iron on low temp. Iron on a hard surface like a countertop with towel placed on it. Melt wax in coffee can in a pot of water. Let cool for 5 or 10 minutes. Dip paint brush into wax and paint wax onto candle and leaf. Repeat procedure if necessary, until leaves are completely covered and firmly sealed into candle.
