Classic Green Bean Casserole
by Michelle Jones, HolidayFamilyFun.com

Here's our favorite way to make this classic dish, and the kids love it!

There are two main recipes being passed around for this classic dish, one is from the soup company, and one is from the French fried onion company. Whichever one my version came from, this one tastes better!

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (fat free is okay, but the real stuff is better)
½ c. milk
1 1/4 tsp. Soy sauce (one of the recipes doesn't have this ingredient)
dash of pepper
4 c. cooked green beans, 2 regular size cans (pre-cook for at least 15 minutes if you have the time)
Large can of French fried onions (the original recipe calls for the small can)

Mix together the first 5 ingredients, ½ of the onions, and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle remaining onions on top of casserole and continue baking for about 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown. This recipe makes 6 servings, so you may need to double it.
